Welcome to TASH – the Academic Skills Hub.  We hope that the many resources and advice available via this site will be of use to you throughout your time at university, whether this is at The University of Sheffield, where TASH began, or elsewhere.

There is no correct way to use this site so please just dive on in (you might want to pass your cursor over the brown tool bar above to get started).  If you are new to the University of Sheffield, do take a quick look at what’s available on the “Being at University” section of the site.  You might also have a read of the “Everyday Skills” page sooner rather than later.

For a more technical “how to” introduction, please click on the “Using this Site” link to the left.  Otherwise, please just explore the different pages and resources, and be sure to take note of what’s available to you.

We would strongly encourage you to bookmark this welcome page so that you can return to TASH at different times throughout your academic studies to find ideas and suggestions for tackling a wide range of different challenges.
